Meet the Founder

While young in terms of years since its launch, the history and inspiration behind TNB Excavation Inc. dates all the way back to the 2000s. There is a very good reason company founder, Tyler Thomas is comfortable on a construction site. This third-generation business owner comes from a long line of craftsmen and entrepreneurs who taught him the value of hard work and imbued him with the sense that it is not enough to merely perform a craft trade, but to strive to do it better than anyone else and make yourself stand out for the trade you do. As a young boy, he would accompany his father to jobs – not just because he enjoyed the opportunity to spend time together, but also because he loved watching things being built from the ground up and the ability to see things being built.

Tyler officially got his start in construction at the age of 15 as summer labourer on job sites. He quickly worked his way up to being the foreman on site – where he learned the importance of “do it right or do it again” and started honing his skill in the excavation world. In all the years since, his attention-to-detail and commitment to owner satisfaction have been integral to his success. In 2020, he followed in the footsteps of his grandfather and father by creating his own company – TNB Excavation Inc.

For over 10 years, Tyler has been in the excavation / landscaping business. Growing up in the industry with his father owning LT Equipment, he got the opportunity to learn the industry at a young age. During his time working for his dad he learned the trade of excavation, not limited to but including foundation excavation, septic system installation, retaining wall installation, sewer and water utilities along with commercial snow removal during the winter months. Back in 2016, Tyler got his AZ drivers license. Along with working for his father, Tyler also has worked for a company as a AZ truck driver and as well as an Operations Manager for a property maintenance company before deciding to open up TNB Excavation Inc.
